About Berry Hill Farm
Wholesome food for wellness minded people. Berry Hill Farm began in 2003 with one acre of blueberries. Our focus at that point was to be engaged in a family friendly activity. We soon realized that a great benefit was the interaction with our customers. While it is essential in any business to make enough profit to pay the bills and provide a living wage for those involved, we have found great fulfillment in bringing good food to people who appreciate it. Currently we farm two acres of blueberries and one acre of vegetables including three high tunnels for winter production.

About Cordes Berry Farm
Cordes Berry Farm planted our first blackberry field in the spring of 2013 and harvested our first crop the following year.  Since then, we have learned so much about producing high-quality berries for our customers. We love being able to directly interact with you and hope you truly enjoy your experience on our farm.

Our small berry patch consists of a half acre of strawberries planted in 2019 and two and a half acres of blackberry production.

We sell local honey, as well as jams and jellies from our berries. Pre-picked and bulk blackberries are available for bakeries, or wine and beer making. Four hundred pounds of blackberries can be picked per day throughout our 2.5 acres of trellised blackberry plants!

We are generally open June 1st through mid-August although this changes from year to year. Follow us on Facebook or give us a call to make sure berries are available.

Berry picking is a great family activity and we love to have children come and see how food is grown.  We offer shaded picnic tables for your convenience so bring a picnic and make it a fun family tradition!

In the off-season, we carry frozen berries so your taste buds can be satisfied all year long.

About this Event:
Located in Northside Neighborhood, this suburban site offers an example of how a lawn can be transformed into a landscape that offers organic home food production, more sustainable landscape management, and incorporation of indigenous plantings to improve the local ecosystem. While we cannot produce all of our own foods, we can - and do - strengthen the food security in our home by growing as much as we can on site. Our home food costs can also be greatly reduced when we are able to grow hundreds, to thousands, of pounds of high quality foods in our home gardens for our family. Additionally, the methods used offer habitat for native species, pollinators, and other wildlife. Win/win/win for home gardening!

Travel Tip: The Parnell Avenue Bridge by Johnny Appleseed Park is closed. Please be sure to check for an alternate route.

About Plant Happiness:
